Highland will begin the construction of a 78,000 sf residential project in Somerville's Sullivan Square. The existing properties were purchased by Highland Development from Summer of 2018 through Fall of 2019 and are expected to be demolished by Winter of 2020. The project spans an entire city block and will contain nearly 13,000 sf of ground level retail, restaurants, and commercial space. Above the ground floor will be five levels of residential apartments totaling nearly 65,000 sf. Below the building will be a parking garage consisting of 32 parking spaces, a trash room, and a bike storage room. The project is still in its early phases and is not projected to be completed until the Winter of 2022 at the earliest.
